Flooring takeoffs

Trace each room separately. Get per-room area for hardwood, LVP, carpet, or tile. Add waste factor and you have your order quantity: no tape measure needed if you have the floor plan.

Tile and stone bids

Bathrooms, kitchens, entryways: trace each tiled area as its own polygon. Get exact area to calculate material cost with your supplier before writing the estimate.

Paint calculations

Get floor area to calculate wall area (multiply by ceiling height, subtract doors and windows). Divide by coverage per gallon. Accurate area in means accurate paint quantity out.

HVAC load calculations

Conditioned floor area is the starting point for Manual J load calculations. Measure each zone from the floor plan: much faster than walking every room with a tape measure before the bid.

Pre-bid estimates

Bid from the architect's PDF before visiting the site. Get accurate measurements to build your estimate, then verify on-site if needed. Faster quoting, more bids per week.

Documentation and records

Export your measurement as a PDF. Attach it to the proposal or job folder. The measured floor plan with area totals is your documentation if the client ever questions quantities.
